An Update on the 2023 Record Salmon Return to the Columbia River and Southwest Washington

The Salmon return the year as of October 2023 has been excellent especially with Pinks, Silvers, Kings, and Cohos. This follows an excellent year for Summer Steelhead in rivers such as the Cowlitz and Nisqually!

Later on we will be listing the fish return and catch totals for all the major rivers and species of Salmon in the rivers of Thurston and Lewis County in Washington.

• Cowlitz Summer Steelhead and Coho Salmon Returns
• Chehalis River Salmon Totals
• Lower and Upper Columbia River Basin

As Salmon Forest Streamside Habitat improves so does the quantity and quality of fish returning to those rivers and increases the survival of Salmon and Trout species of fish.
